Multiple sections of the Employment Law Manual have been updated to reflect an amendment to the New York City's Human Rights Law that requires certain New York City employers to provide a reasonable accommodation to a pregnant employee or an employee recovering from childbirth or a related medical condition if the employee requests an accommodation and the accommodation will allow the employee to perform the essential functions of her job:
- Employee Leaves > FMLA: New York;
- Employee Leaves > Other Leaves: New York;
- Employee Management > Disabilities (ADA): New York;
- HR Strategy, Management and the Law > Multistate Employer;
- Employee Management > Employee Communications: New York;
- New Hire Paperwork > New York; and
- Terms of Employment > New York.
